Discussion meeting held in Sylhet to build a youth-based new Bangladesh

A discussion meeting titled ‘Come and Change the Country–Change the World’ was held in Sylhet at the initiative of the District Information Office to build a youth-based new Bangladesh.
The meeting took place on Wednesday (December 3) at the Youth Training Center auditorium of the Sylhet Youth Development Department.
The discussion meeting was chaired by Deputy Director of the Agricultural Marketing Department, Julia Jasmine Mili, while Professor Dr Mohammad Taj Uddin, Vice Chancellor of Leading University was chief guest.
Speaking as the chief guest, the Vice Chancellor said that youth can protest injustice and praise good deeds without hesitation. They are the main asset of a nation. ‘When the youth rise, no one can suppress them. Today’s transformed Bangladesh is the result of their sacrifices. The potential of the youth must be properly utilized to develop the new Bangladesh as a role model for development’ he added.
Professor Dr Mohammad Taj Uddin expressed his firm resolve to translate the potential of the youth into reality and build a humane and progressive Bangladesh.
In her speech as the chair of the event, Deputy Director Julia Jasmine Mili said that from the very beginning one must determine, ‘I will establish myself as a successful entrepreneur.’
She emphasized that becoming a successful entrepreneur requires skill development through various trainings. Many entrepreneurs have become self-reliant by applying the knowledge and skills gained from such trainings and are now creating employment for others.
Sylhet Youth Development Department Deputy Director Md Abdur Rouf Shah and Program Coordinator S M Imroz Ershad were present as special guests.
The keynote paper was presented by Afsana Akhtar, Assistant Information Officer of the District Information Office.—PID Sylhet
