An view exchange meeting was held between the leaders of the Sylhet District Press Club and the newly elected executive committee of the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology-SUST Press Club.
The meeting took place on Saturday (April 18) in the evening at the auditorium of the Sylhet District Press Club.
At the beginning of the meeting, leaders of the Sylhet District Press Club congratulated the newly elected committee of the SUST Press Club.
Discussions were held on improving the professional standards of journalists working at SUST and on mutual cooperation to face the challenges of campus journalism.
Speakers at the meeting said that Shahjalal University of Science and Technology is one of the country’s leading institutions and its objective journalism serves as an example for campuses across the country. They expressed hope that the newly elected committee would continue this tradition through their talent and dedication.
They also noted that the relationship between the SUST Press Club and the Sylhet District Press Club has long been strong and would continue in the future.
Among those present at the meeting were Sylhet District Press Club President Moin Uddin, Vice President Moniruzzaman Monir, General Secretary Mohammad Nasir Uddin, Joint General Secretary Robi Kiran Singh Rajesh, Treasurer Ananda Sarkar, former President Al Azad, senior member Liaquat Shah Faridi, Acting Editor of Shyamal Sylhet Abdul Mukit, former General Secretary Shah Didar Alam Nobel, Office Secretary Abdul Ahad, Library Secretary Md Ali Akbar Chowdhury (Kohinoor), executive members Rajib Russell and Tuhin Ahmed, as well as SUST Press Club President Noman Faisal and General Secretary Nur Alam.
Also present were Sagar Ahmed Shubho, Md Iqbal Hossain, Himel Hannan, Kazi Md Atahar Hossain, Moin Uddin, Rashed Bappi, Saddam Hossain Jahid, and Imtiaz Nasir Imdad from the SUST Press Club committee.
