The Administrator of Sylhet City Corporation-SCC Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury has inspected the quality of ongoing and completed development projects in various wards of the city.
As part of this initiative, he visited Wards No. 19, 27, 33, and 36 on Monday morning (April 6) to directly observe the development activities on-site.
During the inspection, he verified whether the projects were being implemented in accordance with the approved work orders.
Speaking at the time, the SCC Administrator stated that all work must be completed properly in line with the conditions of the work orders.
He emphasized that no irregularities would be tolerated and that the quality of work must be maintained while ensuring completion within the stipulated timeframe.
As part of the visit, he inspected the completed bituminous road renovation work from Shah Miajhi Mazar to Dadapir Mazar in Ward No. 19.
He also inspected the road, drainage and boundary wall renovation project from Durgabari through Chishtia Mosque to Baluchar New Market intersection in Ward No. 36.
Additionally, he visited the construction work of a road and retaining wall beside a stream in the Nipobon Residential Area of Ward No. 33 as well as the Eidgah area in Gotatikor under Ward No. 27.
During the inspection, SCC Chief Engineer Md Ali Akbar, Assistant Engineers Lipu Singh and Suman Chandra Dey, along with sub-assistant engineers, work assistants, project contractors and local residents were present. Press release
