World Radio Day was celebrated in Sylhet on Monday. On this occasion, Additional Divisional Commissioner Zakaria was the chief guest at the discussion meeting organized by Bangladesh Betar Sylhet.

Former District Commander of Muktijodha Sangsad Subrata Chakraborty Jewel, Deputy Director of Sylhet Information Office Md Salahuddin, Former President of Sylhet District Press Club Al Azad, Senior Journalist Iqbal Siddiqui, Songwriter and Cultural Personality Shamsul Alam Salim, General Secretary of Electronic Media Journalists Association-Emja Golzar Ahmed, eminent dramatist Arindam Dutta (Chandan) and former district child organizer of Shishu Academy Zaman Mahbub delivered the felicitation speech.
A colorful rally then goes around the various roads. At the end of the rally music was performed by eminent artistes Rana Kumar Sinha, Pradeep Kumar Mallick, Jhumkolta Sinha, Nitai Lal Roy, D K Jayant, Shamim Ahmed, Seema Sarkar Purvi, Kakoli Dutt, Rahima Akhtar, Api Rani Dev, Babul Baidya, Razia Sultana Lovely and M H Nizam. Symoom Anjum Evan and Jannatul Naz Asha were conducted this part.
