Staff Reporter : The Rapid Action Battalion-RAB has recovered 226 bottles of foreign liquor in Bishwambharpur Upazila of Sunamganj.
Acting on a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-9, CPC-3, Sunamganj conducted a raid at around 10:00 PM on Friday (May 30) beside the Mathurkandi Big Bridge on the Mathurkandi–Abedin Bazar road in the upazila.
During the operation, two to three individuals sensed the presence of RAB personnel and fled the scene. Later, the law enforcement team recovered the foreign liquor from two plastic sacks left behind by the suspects.
A case has been filed and the recovered items have been handed over to Bishwambharpur Police Station for further legal action.
