Special Correspondent, Habiganj: One thousand cold-stricken people in Habiganj were provided with winter clothing and financial assistance under an initiative of the Bangladesh Army.
On Sunday (January 11), Major General Md Alimul Amin, NDC, PSC, Commander of the 17 Infantry Division and Sylhet Area, formally handed over the assistance to the beneficiaries at the Habiganj Modern Stadium.
Several senior army officers were also present at the event.
The Bangladesh Army stated that its humanitarian assistance program for people suffering from cold weather is ongoing and will continue in the future.
