Newly elected mayors and councilors of 5 city corporations of the country including Sylhet have taken oath.
On Monday, July 3, the newly elected mayor of SCC, Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury took oath to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Prime Minister also administered the oath to Rajshahi City Corporation Mayor A H M Khairuzzaman Liton.
Besides, the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry Md Tajul Islam administered the oath to newly elected councilors of SCC and RCC.
Earlier, Mayors of Khulna, Gazipur and Barisal City Corporation took oath to the Prime Minister and Councilors to LGRD Minister. Staff Reporter
