Staff Reporter: Rapid Action Battalion-RAB has recovered a single-barrel gun, power gel, detonators and gunpowder from Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet.
Acting on a secret tip-off, an operational team of RAB-9, Sylhet Sadar Company recovered one single-barrel gun, four Indian power gel explosives (approximately 1,200 grams), five non-electric detonators and about 200 grams of powder resembling gunpowder from beneath a tower in Towakul Bazar under Towakul Union of the upazila at around 12:30 am on Saturday (December 13).
RAB officials said the recovered items were believed to have been intended for sabotage activities.
The seized arms and explosives have been handed over to Gowainghat Police Station for further legal action.
