Staff Reporter: The Rapid Action Battalion-RAB has arrested two individuals with 7,680 Yaba tablets in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.
Acting on a tip-off, an operational team from RAB-9, CPC-1, Brahmanbaria conducted a raid around 10:15 pm on Thursday (12 March) in the Kamalmora area of Paharpur Union under Bijoynagar upazila.
According to the information received, when the team reached near a tin-roofed house in the area, two individuals attempted to flee. However, the RAB members managed to detain them.
Later, the arrested individuals were identified as Md Jubaed (21), son of Tara Molla, from Kamalmora village of the same upazila, and Md Abed Mia (22), son of Md Billal Mia, from Nidarabad village. The Yaba tablets were recovered from their possession.
For further legal action, a case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act (2018) and they have been handed over to Bijoynagar Police Station.
