President of Kanaighat Press Club, Sylhet Correspondent of Asian Television Rotarian Shahjahan Salim Bulbul has been honoured by Paterson City, New Jersey Mayor Andre Sayegh for his contribution to social service and journalism.
On the afternoon of November 4, Mayor Andre Sayeg presented him with the award at the Paterson City Office. The first Bangladeshi-born Councilman at Large of the United States Md Farid Uddin, expatriate community leaders Abul Kalam, Mamun Imtiaz Rasul, Himel Chowdhury, Nashir Alam, Usman Ahmed and Md Farid Ahmed were present at the award ceremony.
While presenting the honour crest, Mayor Andre Sayegh said that society and the country benefit through social service and objective journalism.
Councilman Farid Uddin said, Americans of Bangladeshi origin are playing an important role in various fields of America, so that the reputation of Bangladesh is increasing.
