Staff Reporter : Sylhet City Corporation’s total budget of 925 crore 4 lakh 49 thousand taka for the fiscal year 2023-2024 has been announced based on the income and expenditure of the same amount of taka.
On Thursday, October 26, Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury announced this budget at a press conference held at the Kushiara International Convention Hall in South Surma of the city.
Councilors and officials of SCC were also present at this time.
The Mayor said, keeping in mind the goal of providing more facilities and services to the citizens and based on the ‘Budget and Accounting Classification System’ directed by the Ministry of Local Government, the SCC budget has also been prepared in the light of the uniform budget form prepared for the City Corporation.
