Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen said that the initiative of constructing ‘Mujib Corner’ at the office of the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry to preserve the memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of independent Bangladesh, is highly commendable. Such an initiative is very necessary to highlight the role of Bangabandhu in Bangladesh’s independence movement and nation building.
‘Mujib Corner’ is operational in 81 embassies of Bangladesh located in different countries of the world.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of ‘Mujib Corner’ at the Sylhet Chamber office on Monday evening.
Sylhet Chamber President and FBCCI Director Tahmin Ahmed said in the president’s speech that everyone should take initiative to preserve the memory of Bangabandhu.
