The Mobile VAT Booth program in Sylhet has started again. It was inaugurated by Mohammad Akbar Hossain, Commissioner of Customs, Excise & VAT, Sylhet and organized by the Excise & VAT Division, Sylhet.
The service-providing program by this Mobile VAT Booth will continue from 8th to 9th May 2023, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in different areas of Sylhet City.
Services including online VAT registration, online VAT deposit, online return submission, and issuing VAT Chalan will be provided during this time. Stakeholders can ask for any kind of questions or information related to VAT and Supplementary Duties as well.
Mohammad Akbar Hossain, Commissioner of Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Sylhet said that this Mobile VAT Program has been initiated to strengthen and popularize the VAT system in Sylhet, raise awareness among stakeholders and consumers about VAT and reach the threshold of service recipients. They are trying their best to ensure this through this program. This program will be arranged again as all stakeholders and consumers can get services seamlessly from this booth.
Pranay Chakma, the Divisional Officer of Customs, Excise & VAT Division, Sylhet said that the Mobile VAT Booth program has been arranged to provide all kinds of legal assistance to stakeholders along with all kinds of services related to VAT.
He further emphasized that as concerned citizens, consumers should take VAT Chalan from the businesses at the time of purchasing any goods or services. This is how everyone can assist in collecting revenues for the country.
The Mobile VAT Booth was inaugurated at 10:00 am on 8th May 2023 in the Head Quarter of Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Sylhet. Muhammad Rashedul Alam, Additional Commissioner, Md Jahangir Alam, Joint Commissioner, Md Sulayman Hossain, Deputy Commissioner and Pranay Chakma, Divisional Officer, Customs, Excise & VAT Division, Sylhet were present there along with the stakeholders of Sylhet.
