Humanitarian Aid Distribution Begins Among Affected Farmers in Shalla

Shalla Correspondent : Distribution of humanitarian assistance promised by Prime Minister Tarek Rahman has begun among farmers affected by heavy rainfall and natural disasters in Shalla Upazila of Sunamganj. The assistance includes cash money, rice, and ‘Agriculture Cards.’
The distribution program was inaugurated on Tuesday (May 26) through an event held at the conference room of the Shalla Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s office, where selected farmers received the grants.
At the inauguration ceremony, 12 affected farmers from Ward No. 4 of Bahara Union were each given Tk 3,000 in cash and 15 kilograms of rice.
After Eid-ul-Azha, a total of 10,125 farmers across four unions will receive this humanitarian assistance.
The support program, consisting of cash aid and rice distribution, will continue for three consecutive months.
