Special Correspondent, Moulvibazar: General Officer Commanding-GOC of the 17 Infantry Division and Area Commander of Sylhet Area, Major General Md Alimul Amin, exchanged views with inter-agency coordination officers in Moulvibazar regarding overall preparations for the peaceful, free, fair and impartial completion of the National Assembly Election and Referendum-2026, as well as their role in maintaining law and order and ensuring security in the district.
The meeting was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on Thursday (February 5) afternoon.
During the discussion, Major General Md Alimul Amin stressed the importance of performing duties in accordance with the Constitution and the law during the election period. He urged all concerned to remain alert and prepared to prevent any kind of propaganda and disorder.
He also emphasized the need for mutual cooperation and coordination to ensure the smooth completion of the election.
Among others present at the meeting were the Commander of the 17 Artillery Brigade, Sector Commander of BGB, Captains from the Army and BGB, the Army Camp Commander, the District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Touhiduzzaman Pavel, all Upazila Executive Officers, and officials from various military and civil departments.
