Staff Reporter : President of Suzjan Sylhet Chapter, Election Commissioner of Sylhet District (Zela) Press Club, former administrator of Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry Faruk Mahmud Chowdhury is no more.
He breathed his last at a hospital in New York, America, on Friday (October 10). He was 70 years old. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
On September 19, Faruk Mahmud Chowdhury and his wife went to New York from Bangladesh. When he fell seriously ill there, he was admitted to a hospital in New York. He was suffering from various diseases including kidney and heart. It has been decided to bury his body in New York.
The Sylhet District Press Club has expressed deep condolences on the death of Faruk Mahmud Chowdhury.
The organization’s President Moin Uddin and General Secretary Mohammad Nasir Uddin said in a condolence message that the vacancy of such a talented person will not be easily filled. This prominent person from Sylhet was a successful election commissioner in all the elections of the District Press Club.
The condolence message expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.
