Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Mozibor Rahman said, child marriage is a social disease. The district administration has taken various initiatives to protect the society from this disease. As a part of this, meetings, seminars, rallies, plays, road shows etc. are being held at school, college, upazila, union and ward levels to create awareness. Still not eliminated. But decreased. The Deputy Commissioner opined that journalists can give awareness posts against child marriage through mass media as well as social media.
