The holy Eid-ul-Azha, one of the most important religious festivals of Muslims has been celebrated in the whole country including Sylhet with due dignity and religious solemnity.
On the morning of Thursday, June 29, Eid-ul-Azha congregational prayer was followed by prayers for the welfare of the country, nation and Muslim Ummah.
The main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha in Sylhet was held at the historic Shahi Eidgah. Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen, Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury and newly elected Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury participated in it.
Also, Eid-ul-Azhar congregations are held in various Eidgahs and mosques including Hazrat Shahjalal (R) Dargah. Staff Reporter
