Staff Reporter: The Rapid Action Battalion-RAB arrested a drug dealer along with 60 kilograms of cannabis in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria.
Acting on a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-9, CPC-1, Brahmanbaria set up a checkpoint in the Kayempur area of the upazila at around 2:45am on Sunday (24 May). They stopped a pickup truck and recovered the cannabis from the vehicle. The pickup driver, Md Arifur Rahman Shipon (27), son of Md Joynal Abedin, of Mirersarai, Munshiganj, was arrested.
For further legal action, a case was filed and the accused, along with the seized evidence, was handed over to Kasba Police Station.
