Deputy Chief Information Officer of the Regional Information Office, Sylhet, Hasina Akter, paid a courtesy call on Labour and Employment and Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury.
The meeting took place on Friday (May 15) at the minister’s residence in Sylhet.
After the meeting, the deputy chief information officer presented the minister with a photo album containing selected photographs of his various government activities, development initiatives and public engagement programs.
During a brief discussion, the minister expressed satisfaction with the activities of the Regional Information Office, Sylhet, saying the office plays an important role in delivering accurate information about government development activities and public welfare initiatives to the people.
He praised the sincerity and dedication of information officers in promoting the government’s positive activities.
The minister also said the Regional Information Office should play a more effective role in highlighting the government’s development progress and public service activities to general people.
He emphasized improving the quality of information services and strengthening public engagement campaigns.
Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Labour and Employment Md Borhan Uddin, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Md Shariful Islam, Administrative Officer of the Regional Information Office Sylhet Mohammad Mohsin and other officials were present during the meeting.
