Balaganj Correspondent : Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Md Sarwar Alam visited various government institutions in Osmaninagar Upazila for a day on Thursday (October 23).
From the morning, he visited various offices and educational institutions as part of improving the quality of government services and administrative activities.
In the afternoon, the Deputy Commissioner attended the freshmen ceremony at Goalabazar Government Women’s College as the chief guest and told the students that along with education, one should develop oneself by being motivated by morality and patriotism.
Later, he visited various government institutions including the newly built Upazila Health Complex, Thana, Sub-Registrar Office and Upazila Parishad Building.
During his visit to the Upazila Health Complex, people from all walks of life demanded that indoor and emergency services be started.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Upazila Executive Officer Joynal Abedin, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shahnaz Parvin, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mainul Hasan, LGED Engineer Abdullah Al Mamun, OC Md Monayem Mia, journalists and other officials of the upazila administration during the inspection.
