Staff Reporter: Sylhet District Detective Branch-DB police have arrested Sarder Saiful Islam (32), the leader of a notorious inter-district robbery gang. He is the son of Fazlur Rahman of Nandirphal village in Beanibazar upazila of Sylhet.
On Wednesday (December 17), at around 4:15 pm, a special team of Sylhet District DB conducted a raid in the Bandar Bazar area of Sylhet city and arrested him.
According to police sources, a total of 17 cases, including theft, robbery, murder and arms-related charges, are pending against Sarder Saiful Islam in different police stations. These include Sylhet district as well as Habiganj Sadar and Kulaura police stations in Moulvibazar district.
