A consultation workshop on typhoid vaccination was held at the Civil Surgeon Office auditorium under the project titled ‘Awareness Promotion Activities for the Development of Children, Adolescents and Women’ with the financial support of UNICEF Bangladesh.
Moulvibazar Civil Surgeon Dr Md Mamunur Rahman was the chief guest at the workshop.
In his speech as the chief guest, he emphasized the importance of getting vaccinated on time to stay free from typhoid.
The Civil Surgeon said that typhoid vaccination activities will start soon across the country.
He urged the journalists who came to the workshop to complete the registration activities on time to get vaccinated and to conduct extensive campaigns to make the vaccination campaign successful.
Gazi Sharifa Yasmin, Deputy Director of the Department of Mass Communication, was present as a resource person at the workshop. District Education Officer Md Fazlur Rahman, District Primary Education Officer Md Shafiul Alam and representatives of UNICEF and World Health Organization were also present as guests.
