Cleanliness campaign has been conducted in Sylhet district to prevent dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases.
On Sunday, August 13, from 9 am to 10 am a cleanliness drive was conducted in the Deputy Commissioner’s office area.
Under the plan and direction of the DC at the same time, cleanliness drive was conducted in all government offices, educational institutions, NGOs, banks-insurance, shopping malls and houses in 945 wards of 13 upazilas, 5 municipalities and 105 unions of the district including Sylhet City Corporation area.
According to the instructions of the district administration, the awareness message regarding prevention of dengue will be disseminated in mosques before Zohar and Esha azaan and Friday prayers in accordance with religious regulations.
