Staff Reporter : Police have arrested 8 people in connection with the attack on students of Sylhet Engineering College.
The attack took place at the King Futsal Indoor Playground in Uttar Baluchar on Wednesday (August 6) at around 6 pm. In this regard, Tanvir Ahmed Fahim, a student of the Engineering College has filed a case with Shahparan Police Station as the plaintiff (No.: 5 Date: 7/8/2025 Section: 143/114/323/324/506 Penal Code).
14 named persons and 20/25 unknown persons have been accused in the case.
In view of the case, the police have conducted a drive and arrested 8 accused.
The drive to arrest other accused is ongoing, according to the SMP media cell.
