The administrator of Sylhet City Corporation-SCC, Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury, has visited various areas of Ward No. 10 in the city.
On Tuesday (April 21) afternoon, during his visit to Ghasitula, Lamapara and Kanishail areas, local residents presented different problems of Ward No. 10 to him.
The residents demanded necessary infrastructural development in the area, including roads, drainage systems and mosques.
The SCC administrator listened attentively to their concerns and, after the on-site inspection, assured that development work would begin soon.
Seeking cooperation from citizens to build a Beautiful and livable city, Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury said, “We want to develop the city, but our financial capacity is limited. Due to low revenue income of SCC, it becomes difficult to carry out all development activities relying only on government allocations. Therefore, for the sake of urban development, all citizens must come forward and pay holding taxes and other dues on time.”
