Staff Reporter : The Rapid Action Battalion-RAB) has arrested a fugitive accused who was wanted in a murder case and five other cases, including a police assault case, from Chunarughat Upazila in Habiganj.
Acting on a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-9, CPC-3, Shayestaganj Camp, Habiganj conducted a raid in front of the Muktijoddha Complex in the Chunarughat municipal area at approximately 6:45 pm on May 9.
During the operation, they arrested Abduun Noor (55), son of late Karam Ali, of Laturgaon, Chunarughat, Habiganj, who was a warrant-listed accused in a case filed with Chunarughat Police Station (Case No. 24, dated 26/05/2024, under Sections 302/34 of the Penal Code 1860).
It is noted that he faces allegations in various police stations across the district involving murder, attempted murder, extortion, assault and police assault cases, as well as accusations of supporting the Rema-Kalenga forest bandit group.
The arrested accused has been handed over to Chunarughat Police Station for further legal proceedings.
