The Sylhet chapter of the Sunamganj Association organized a human chain demanding a proper investigation into the robbery of Tk 5 million from former association president Nasim Hossain, along with the quick arrest and exemplary punishment of the real culprits.
The human chain was held on Sunday (10 May) at 3 PM at the Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar premises.
Speakers at the event said the recent robbery had created deep concern and panic among the public.
They strongly urged the administration to immediately conduct a fair investigation, identify the real offenders, bring them under the law and ensure exemplary punishment.
The speakers also warned that failure to arrest the criminals quickly would negatively affect public safety and the law-and-order situation.
