Staff Reporter : In a joint operation conducted by the Rapid Action Battalion-RAB and the Department of Environment in Sylhet, 14 vehicle owners were fined a total of Tk 21,000.
Based on secret information, a joint team from RAB-9, Sadar Company, Sylhet and the Department of Environment, Sylhet carried out the operation in the Shah Paran area on Thursday (April 16) from approximately 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
During the drive, the fines were imposed for installing and using hydraulic horns that exceed the permitted sound limits in motor vehicles. A total of 24 hydraulic horns were also seized.
