Staff Reporter: The Rapid Action Battalion-RAB has recovered one airgun from Shayestaganj Upazila of Habiganj.
Acting on a tip-off, a raiding team of RAB-9, CPC-3, Shayestaganj Camp, conducted a special operation to recover illegal weapons. During the operation, the team recovered the airgun in an abandoned condition from bushes in an Akashmoni tree garden in the Barachar area of the upazila at around 1:30 am on Sunday (January 11).
No person was found in connection with the recovered airgun. RAB-9 officials said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
It is suspected that the recovered airgun was intended to be used for acts of sabotage.
The airgun has been handed over to Shayestaganj Police Station for necessary legal action.
