Staff Reporter: A large quantity of Indian Yaba has been seized in a special operation conducted by the Zakiganj Battalion (19 BGB) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
Acting on a secret tip-off, the BGB carried out a raid around midnight on Tuesday (November 18) in the Sarishakuri area under Manikpur BOP in Zakiganj Upazila. Sensing the presence of the patrol team, organized smugglers fled the scene, leaving behind a polythene bag.
The patrol team recovered 19,100 pieces of Indian Yaba from the abandoned bag.
According to BGB, the total seizure value of the recovered Yaba is Tk 5.73 million.
