Sylhet Range DIG visits various puja mandap in Sunamganj

‎DIG of Sylhet Range of Bangladesh Police Md Mushfequr Rahman visited various puja mandap including Ramakrishna Mission and Durgabari Temple in Sholaghar of Sunamganj town to monitor the overall security and law and order situation on the Maha Ashtami of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community.
During the visit on Tuesday (September 30) afternoon, he exchanged views with the leaders of the puja committee and gave directions on security.
Present at the event were President of Ramakrishna Mission, former principal of Sunamganj Government College Parimal Kanti De, Swami Hridyananda Maharaj, educationist Yogeshwar Das and Subimal Chakraborty Chandan of the Durgabari Temple Management Committee, Sunamganj Superintendent of Police Tofail Ahmed, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Zakir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Sunamganj Sadar Police Station Md. Abul Kalam, OC (Investigation) Arif Ullah, TI (Administration and Operation) Mohammad Hanif Mia and DB (OC) Ahmed Ullah Bhuiyan and other police officers.
DIG Md Mushfequr Rahman said that police members are working round the clock to ensure that the Durga Puja is conducted smoothly.
