Staff Repoeter : Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Mohammad Sher Mahbub Murad has been made OSD (Officer on Special Duty). Upazila Executive Officer-UNO of Companiganj Azizunnahar has also been transferred. It is believed that they were transferred in connection with the recent stone-related allegations.
On Monday (August 18) a notification from the Ministry of Public Administration transferred the Deputy Commissioner and appointed Sarwar Alam, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, as the new Deputy Commissioner.
On the other hand, an order from the Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet has transferred Companiganj Upazila Executive Officer Azizunnahar to Fenchuganj and Fenchuganj Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Shafiqul Islam to Companiganj.
