Sheikh Nurul Islam, Britain: On behalf of Greater Sylhet Community UK has been taken initiative to distribute blankets to 1,000 poor people in 4 districts of Sylhet division this year.
In continuation of this, blankets were distributed among 200 people at Moulvibazar Club on February 4.
Moulvibazar Zilla Parishad Chairman Misbahur Rahman was the chief guest at this time under the chairmanship of prominent businessman Masood Ahmed, co-convener of Greater Sylhet Community UK. During the program, Greater Sylhet Community UK convener community leader Mohammad Mokis Mansoor spoke in a teleconference from Britain. Ex-Chairperson of the organization distinguished businessman Nurul Islam Mahbub, BSS Moulvibazar district Correspondent Dr Sadiq Ahmed, Moulvibazar District Development and Welfare Foundation President Syed Nowsher Ali Khokon, Moulvibazar Combined Social Development Council President Khaled Chowdhury, Moulvibazar Seba Private Clinic Managing Director Joynal Khan, UK Wales Chhatra League President Badrul Mansoor, expatriate Ahmed Ali Jibu, Ekatuna Union Development and Welfare Foundation Treasurer Mohammad Mujib Mansoor, former UP member Lipon Miah, one of the trustees of Kachua Al-Mansoor Welfare Trust Mohammad Kamal Mansoor, Maulvibazar Ananda Pathshala founder Abdus Salam and Youth organizer Aminul Islam spoke as special guests.
