Special Correspondent, Habiganj: The women beneficiaries of various development projects of the Awami League government in Nabiganj Upazila under Habiganj district formally thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On Friday, October 19 afternoon, a program of thanks to the Prime Minister was organized at Nabiganj JK High School grounds. Thousands of women beneficiaries of the upazila participated in it.
Habiganj-1 Constituency Member of Parliament Gazi Mohammad Shahnawaz Milad spoke as the chief guest in the thanksgiving ceremony.
Under the chairmanship of Acting Chairman of Nabiganj Upazila Parishad Advocate Gatigobind Das, District Awami League Organizing Secretary Noor Uddin Chowdhury Bulbul, Advocate Sultan Mahmud, Nabiganj Upazila Awami League President Gias Uddin Ahmed and former President Professor Mujibur Rahman spoke as special guests.
The Chief Guest Member of Parliament Gazi Mohammad Shahnawaz Milad said that BNP-Jamaat is making various conspiracies to thwart the next parliamentary elections. This conspiracy must be stopped by everyone. Otherwise the development of Bangladesh will stop just as the development of democracy will stop.
Speakers warned everyone that if Sheikh Hasina is not made the Prime Minister again by voting in ‘Boat’, the reign of plunder will be established in the country and the country will become a militant state.
Note that 7 thousand out of 24 thousand 400 women beneficiaries of Nabiganj Upazila were present in the rally. All are gifted with saplings.
Apart from this, some critical patients were also given a grant check from the Prime Minister’s Office.
