Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has ordered to give priority to grass roots.
On Tuesday morning, the party’s Sylhet City President Masuk Uddin Ahmed, District Acting President Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, District General Secretary, Zilla Parishad Chairman Advocate Md Nasir Uddin Khan and City General Secretary Professor Md Zakir Hossain paid a courtesy call on him at Ganabhaban, the Prime Minister’s official residence in the capital on Tuesday morning, She ordered this.
The Awami League president said that the national and local government elections are ahead. So the organization needs to be made more dynamic and stronger. Priority should be given to grass roots. All should move forward unitedly including organs and allied organizations. With the combined efforts of all, ‘Boat’ will be victorious again-Insha’Allah.
The Prime Minister exchanged greetings with the leaders and also inquired about their health. She also gave them various directions on organizational matters.
The party president gave suggestions on how to organize the party ahead of the upcoming elections.
She said, ‘Go to the people, stand by them. Give them full support. Present the overall development picture of the government to the people. It should be remembered that the people are the strength of Awami League. The trend of development should be continued in the future with the people.
Sheikh Hasina listened attentively to the speech of the the leaders. They expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Prime Minister for giving them the time and opportunity to speak.-Press release
