The Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Meghalaya Mine Owners and Exporters Association of India held an exchange meeting.
Meghalaya MLA Pius Merwin and Meghalaya Mine Owners and Exporters Association President Julius Caesar Diengnan attended the meeting chaired by Tahmin Ahmed, the president of the SCCI and FBCCI director at Sylhet Chamber office on Thursday afternoon.
In the meeting, discussions were held with the aim of increasing Sylhet’s trade relations with Meghalaya and solving the existing problems in the import-export and border trade sectors.
In the meeting, the MLA of Meghalaya assured his full cooperation in the development of import-export trade and solving the problems in this sector.
Sylhet Chamber Vice President Md Atiq Hossain, Director Mujibur Rahman Mintu, Kazi Md Mostafizur Rahman, Sylhet Coal Importer Group President and former senior Vice President of Sylhet Chamber Chandan Saha, member Joydev Chakraborty and members of Meghalaya Mine Owners and Exporters Association were also present in the exchange meeting.
