Staff Reporter: A task force operation in Sylhet city has led to the arrest of six individuals along with 193 liters of liquor, 2 kg 190 grams of marijuana, and 15 new and old mobile phones.
The operation was conducted in the Kastaghar area from 2:30 am to 5:30 am on Friday (December 5) with the participation of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, 34 Bir of the Bangladesh Army, RAB-9 and the Department of Narcotics Control.
The arrested have been identified as: Bishal (23, son of deceased Gama, resident of Kastaghar Sweeper Colony, Sylhet), Akash (23, son of Chunilal Roy, resident of Tilargaon, Jalalabad, Sylhet), Subrata (21, son of Surujlal, resident of Kastaghar Sweeper Colony, Sylhet), Raja (20, son of Shuvolal, resident of Kastaghar Sweeper Colony, Sylhet), Karanlal (22, son of deceased Dulallal, resident of Kastaghar Sweeper Colony, Sylhet) and Shanti Lal (40, wife of Suruj Lal, resident of Kastaghar Sweeper Colony, Sylhet).
According to the Press release of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, there are four warrants against Shanti Lal, including one sentence warrant.
