Staff Reporter : In a drive conducted by Sylhet Metropolitan Police-SMP to stop illegal vehicle movement in Sylhet city, 38 vehicles of various types were seized and 7 cases were filed on Sunday (October 5).
The SMP’s media cell informed that 22 illegal vehicles were seized in a special drive from 9 am to 12 noon. These include 14 battery-powered rickshaws, 1 CNG auto-rickshaw, 5 motorcycles, 1 pickup and 1 tempu.
In addition, 16 more illegal vehicles were seized from 2 pm to 5 pm. These include 14 battery-powered rickshaws and 2 motorcycles.
On the 14th day of the drive, 6 cases were filed against motorcycles and 1 case against pickups.
