Staff Reporter : Sylhet Kotwali Model Police Station conducted a raid at Garden Tower in the city and recovered 26 rounds of rubber and lead cartridges of a short gun, arresting two individuals in the process.
The raid was carried out on Wednesday (December 10) at around 5:15 am by SI Shiplu Chowdhury along with his team in the Mendibag area.
During the operation, police recovered 16 rounds of lead cartridges and 10 rounds of rubber cartridges of a shotgun from a room in Flat No. 40/81 on the 8th floor of Garden Tower. The detainees were identified as Md Enamul Haque (35, son of Md Abdul Barek, originally from Betkuri, Haluaghat, Mymensingh, currently residing at House 27, Road 22, Block-B, Shahjalal Uposhohor) and Borhan Uddin (35, son of Aman Ullah, from Haiderpur, Chhatak, Sunamganj, currently residing in the same flat at Garden Tower).
An FIR has been filed at the Kotwali Model Police Station of SMP in connection with the incident.
